Job Description: As an Electronics Mobile Support Engineer at RydFree, you will be responsible for testing, designing, and maintaining in-car hardware for data analysis and capture tools. This includes GPS antennas, camera technology for AI facial recognition software, and other data collection devices running on an Android platform. You will work remotely as a bench engineer testing new equipment and perform on-site repairs and upgrades on equipment installed in vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test, design, and maintain in-car hardware for data analysis and capture tools, including GPS antennas and camera technology for AI facial recognition.
• Develop and implement solutions for streaming data from mobile devices to AWS servers for analysis and analytics.
• Perform remote bench testing of new equipment for GPS, AI facial recognition, and other data collection and analysis devices.
• Conduct on-site repairs and upgrades on equipment installed in vehicles across the UK.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware integration and functionality.
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment testing, repairs, and upgrades.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electronics and mobile support engineering.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Electronics Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in testing and maintaining GPS, cellular, image technology, and power management hardware.
• Experience with AI facial recognition technology and Android platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel for on-site repairs and upgrades across the UK in the first instant but later this may be reduced to a local area.
• Valid driver’s license (a company car will be provided).
